Born Again by the Blood of the Lamb

Do you know that sometimes there will be people in your life who just cannot see who the Lord has made you to be, the real you in Christ. Their lens is of the past or a mistake you made somewhere back in the day and some old history that they once knew. Some people will never have eyes to see the real you that God has made you to be. They could be too familiar and maybe too blind. They may even relate to you as the old person they were once familiar with and they still see that person and not the miracle that God has made of your life now.

You have to bless them even though they might see you through an old lens. Sometimes these people are loved ones or old friends from school or somewhere in your past. Bless them… they have not had their eyes open to see what God has done in your life. Their paradigm is one of past history. You cannot allow their opinions and off-the-cuff comments to penetrate your heart.

They know the old you. They have an unrenewed unredeemed picture of who you are.

Bless them anyway. They may be the first to point out flaws or mistakes from the person “you used to be” and it may sting when they do so. You know in your heart that old person died and you are a born again man or woman of God….That old person is not who you are.

You are a child of God. You are NOT that old person. You are redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb. You are born again from above. You are washed in the blood of the Lamb, YOU are blessed, saved, sanctified, justified and made brand new. 

Do not allow the enemy to place accusations against you that are no longer true and are not even the person you are today. The enemy wants to point out your past, but we know his future. Do not let his words hurt your heart. You are made new and perfected in Spirit and Truth in the eyes of the Father.

2 Corinthians 5: 17 says that You are a New creation in Christ. Behold old things are passed away and all things are made new. Romans 8:1 tells us “There is therefore now No condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus!” You are a son or a daughter. You are the Light of the world. You are a king and a priest. You are the blessed of God and, most of all, you are forgiven.

Bless those who curse you and pray for those who spitefully use you. They just don’t know how good God has been to you and that you are not that old person. You are redeemed and blessed and have a hope and a future and calling straight from Heaven. You are a miracle work of Grace! Shine and keep on shining! You are one of His bright shining stars in His Kingdom! Do not look back on your past as it is not worth the stiff neck…. Keep looking forward to a golden future with Jesus Christ.
